About

Hi, I’m Hailey! Like the comet.

I’m a nomadic inclined individual raised on a cloudy Pacific Northwest island. I’ve worked in creative and marketing industries around Seattle, Las Vegas, and Austin. Traveling the country as a charter flight attendant, brand ambassador and freelance writer has brought varying stories for both clients and my own narrative. Currently, I work with the Langley Chamber of Commerce, write for Whidbey Life Magazine and am a ballet instructor at Island Dance & Gymnastics.

In my professional life, I’ve had the privilege of writing across diverse cultural beats, from local politics and technology to the arts. I’m drawn to community-focused projects and independent publications that amplify unique perspectives and foster universality. Whether uncovering a nuanced story or collaborating with like-minded creatives, I strive to bridge the gap between people, develop ideas, make art, and evolve the world from my community. I wanted to start Island Chronicles as a way to produce editorials on our local community members and maybe a personal account here and there:) In my free time I can be found hanging out in a local coffee shop, or in the arts world working in dance, theater, music, or styling.
